If you’re a trend setter, or even if you’re not, you’re probably still aware that certain things that are hot right now, may not be so hot in the future.
When it comes to some of the hottest new restaurant trends, though, things are really hot, and that’s good news for hot food lovers everywhere.
To begin with, one of the hottest flavors around right now incorporates extra spice, and sometimes not where you would expect it. One of the hottest words is “swicy”, and its being incorporated into all types of foods. Swicy stands for something that’s both spicy and sweet.
Wendy’s has its version with Honey BBQ Saucy Nuggs on the menu. The chain also sells Spicy Ghost Pepper Nuggs and Spicy Buffalo Nuggs. On the sandwich side, there’s the Ghost Pepper Ranch Chicken Sandwich. Over at Wingstop, the chain recently announced it’s making its Hot Honey Rub flavor a permanent menu addition. Not to be outdone, Starbucks is getting into the drink action with its own spicy concoction. A few months ago, it launched a limited-edition line of Spicy Lemonade Refreshers. The drinks incorporate Starbucks Spicy Chili Powder Blend into either Spicy Dragonfruit, Spicy Pineapple, or Spicy Strawberry drinks. Starbucks also recently debuted a Spicy Cream Cold Foam.
These are just a few of the ways restaurants are bringing more heat to their menus, and giving many consumers what they really want with additional hot pepper flavors. Taking on the heat scale is just one of the hottest new restaurant trends. There are also hot spots taking notice of the popularity of limoncello, mocktails and new chicken menu items. If the menu price is holding you back, many eateries are starting to roll out some deals, too. With prices at the grocery store soaring, some of the most popular fast-food chains are rolling out their own price meal deals, so be sure to give the menu a good scan before placing your order.
