Using the spice is said to help decrease hunger and increase your metabolic rate and body temperature. You can try adding ginger to your food, or even mix up some warm ginger water.
Certain veggies can help, too.
Broccoli is packed with vitamins, plus it contains something called glucoraphanin. The substance is said to help increase metabolism and lower blood fat levels. Beans and legumes can help, too, because they’re high in protein. That means to digest them, your body needs to burn more calories. Protein is also what helps makes eggs a good choice. According to certain studies out there, eating a high-protein diet can help boost your metabolism by up to 100 calories per day. Of course, you probably don’t want to limit your diet to just these five foods but adding them to mealtime could help promote better health, and possibly speed up your metabolism, too.
