National Chicken Wings Day
As much as you would like to imagine tiny buffalo flying about, donating their wings so we can have tasty treats at the bar – that doesn’t happen. Buffalos don’t have wings, and as far as scientists understand it, they never did. You’re more likely to find fairy dust from Neverland.
What we commonly refer to as buffalo wings are, in fact, chicken wings. And, they’re not from baby chickens either. Chicken wings are jointed, and it’s possible to get both the little drumstick and the little wing pieces from a single wing.
Flavorful Food Swaps
It’s really difficult to make healthy eating choices in the summer. Actually, it’s really difficult at any time. In winter, there is a stream of holidays while the summer offers plenty of impromptu (ah, go ahead and spoil yourself, right?) gatherings and lots of late nights.
You may find that a few of these food swaps are easier during summer. And, if you start now, you can bet they’ll fit readily into your routine by winter. (Bonus!)

Hot Pocket Has Just Combined the Top Food Trends into a Single Snack
(Oh, and McDonald’s is following suit!)
So, you know Hot Pockets. Everyone does. They’re those microwaveable savory pastries that sit next to the pizza rolls in your freezer. They’re best for those moments when you have nothing else in the house and no one else to feed and you just need something. Hot Pockets are also a top choice for the nights when you’ve somehow managed to close down the bar and were too “kind” to ask your driver to stop at Taco Bell.
Making Meals Spicy… and Kid Friendly
You may have noticed that our recipe blog is constantly growing. Posts range from starters and salads to main dishes and then on to dessert; and each one features Mad Dog hot sauces, purees, pepper pods, or extracts. Sure we love adding hot sauce to foods that have already been prepared, but there’s almost nothing like Mad Dog cooked into meals.
