On Father’s Day, you need to treat the dad in your life with a lot more than a regular burger
This Greek burger will show just how much you care. It’s got everything you could want plus the burn that comes with any Mad Dog twist.
While it’s especially good on the grill, you can also cook them on the stove or in the oven – they’re delicious any way you do it – and it’s important to make sure dad isn’t doing all the work on this special day, right? No matter how you do it, you’re going to love these four burgers.
That’s a promise.
Ingredients
1 teaspoon Mad Dog 357 Habanero Puree
1 1/2 pound ground lamb - Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup Feta, crumbled
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 each Lemon, juiced
4 each Hamburger buns, split
1/2 cup Roasted red peppers
1/2 medium Red onion, sliced
1/2 small cucumber, sliced
Fresh dill, to serve
Preparation
Heat your grill or grill pan to high.
Meanwhile, combine the Mad Dog 357 Habanero Puree with the ground lamb and form into 4 hamburger patties. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside until the grill is hot.
Tip: Be sure to wear gloves when mixing the Mad Dog and meat or it will burn!
When the burgers are ready, place them on the grill and cook for about 6 minutes on each side for medium – or until done to your liking. Combine the feta with the yogurt and lemon juice. Stir well, until creamy. Set aside until the burgers are ready.
Assemble the burgers by spreading the lemony feta yogurt on the bottom buns, top with the burgers, and the remaining ingredients. Serve with an added spread of Mad Dog 357 Habanero Puree on the top bun for those who can take it.
