How many different hot sauces have you tried in your life? Could you count them all? And how many times have you tried to make your own hot sauce at home? What sort of success did you have with it? Not totally right? Sometimes you get it right on the first try (just as we did with our Reaper Sriracha sauce), and sometimes it takes a little bit more experimenting to transform average sauces into perfect ones. And, just how do you do that?

Remember Ghost Pepper fries? How about all the other limited release items you’ve seen on fast food menus over the past two or three years. (If you can’t think of any, use the word sriracha to jog your memory! You’ll find chipotle or sriracha in probably half of the limited edition items you’ve seen recently.)

When’s the last time you really took a look at the hot sauce shelves at the grocery store? Or any fast food (or fast-casual) menu? Whether you’ve just done it, or you’re making a mental note to check next time you head out for a snack or grocery shopping, you’re bound to notice something: Hot sauces are a big deal.

Think again! That’s right; the chili peppers you know are just the beginning. Okay, in fairness, we’re probably a lot further down the evolutionary road than that. But, we’re nowhere close to being done with the chili pepper revolution.
