Halloween is always a fun time for families.
It’s a time of creativity, laughter, games, pranks, and odd foods. And, these meatloaves fit easily into that mix. They’re a great deal of fun to serve – and because you can make two different loaves, you can add the hot sauce to one after the mix has been divided. You get the hot stuff, and the kids can just enjoy their funny mummy.
This Halloween recipe will easily feed at least 4 people.
Ingredients
1 teaspoon Mad Dog 357 Hot Sauce
3/4 cup BBQ sauce
1 pound Ground beef
1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
1 each Egg
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
You’ll Also Need
6 slices Bacon
2 each Baby onions, halved
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the Mad Dog 357 Hot Sauce with the BBQ sauce, ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, and seasonings. Mix well with your hands, then divide the mixture in two.
Shape each half of the ground beef mixture into mini loaves (mummy heads) and place them on the baking sheet. Decorate the meatloaves with bacon and onions to create the appearance of a mummy. Place sheet in the oven and bake for about 50 minutes, until mummies are cooked through.
Happy Halloween!
