Middle Eastern Meze Platter with Ghost Pepper Heat 🔥🫒
Ingredients
Green Falafel
- 1 can chickpeas, drained
- 1 cup parsley & cilantro
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tbsp flour
- Salt & pepper
- Olive oil for cooking
Pumpkin & Beet Hummus
- 1 cup cooked beet
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- 1 can chickpeas
- 2 tbsp tahini
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1–2 tsp Mad Dog 357 Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce 🔥
Platter Additions
- Warm pita bread
- Sun-dried tomatoes
- Mixed olives
- Stuffed cherry peppers
- Fresh tabbouleh
- Fresh figs, sliced
- Olive oil drizzle
- Feta cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Make the Falafel
- Blend chickpeas, herbs, garlic, cumin, flour, salt, and pepper until chunky.
- Form into small balls or patties.
- Pan-fry in olive oil until crispy and golden on both sides.
2. Make the Hummus
- Blend beet, pumpkin, chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce until smooth.
- Add a splash of water or olive oil if needed for texture.
3. Build the Platter
- Spread hummus onto a large serving platter.
- Arrange falafel, pita, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, stuffed peppers, tabbouleh, and figs around it.
- Finish with olive oil, herbs, and an extra drizzle of Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce for serious heat 🌶️🔥
